《我也能做木工：新手操作手册》是 Popular Woodworking 编辑部 2010 年编印的新手手册，由杂志文章汇编而成，面向刚开始接触木工的人。

导论直言：开始做木工有许多路可走，过去有师傅带，今天只能靠书、杂志、电视和偶尔的课；很多人花数年囤机器，却做不出一件家具。其实有另一条路——你不需要台锯，不需要工作台，甚至不需要工坊，也不必花 1000 美元做第一个鸟屋；上午去家装城，当天就能开始做。

好书架与 2×4 凑合货的差别不在台锯，而在巧思、稳健的设计和一点点耐心。手册要帮你选出价格与功能平衡、不会很快嫌不够用的顺手工具，并教你用它们做出家具。

全书分三部分共十三章：第一部分”工具”依次讲工具使用规则、量测工具、锯、钻孔工具、修整工具、接合工具、紧固工具、工件夹持与修边机；第二部分”技法”讲顺纹裁切与划线；第三部分”材料与五金”讲选料与钢琴铰链。本目录沿用原书按章起算的编号，以章号（ch.X-X）标注，不用统一页码。
