《木工百科全书》（The Encyclopedia of Woodworking）是 Quantum Publishing 旗下 Select Editions 于 2001 年在加拿大初版、伦敦 Oceana Books 制作的家庭木工必备参考指南，由 Mark Ramuz 担任顾问编辑，全书逾五百页，以大量分步照片与线图著称。卷首引言开宗明义：本书面向家庭木工爱好者，以分步说明、照片和插图提供最大限度的实操帮助，带领读者入门这门最值得投入的爱好的之一。

全书从树木与木材的本性讲起：先介绍常见木工木材的性能、活树如何转化为板材与坯料、如何辨识与选用木材，再进入工坊与工具部分，讲解手工与电动工具的用途、工坊布局与安全设置，以及磨凿、养护刨和修边机等工具维护；随后是”基础技法”——从识图放样起步，逐步图解锯切、刨削、修边机铣削、凿削、钻孔、打磨刮削与胶合紧固等核心工序。”接合制作”一章系统讲授接合设计原理与各类必备接合：边接、斜搭接、搭接与槽接、榫卯、斜接倒角、燕尾榫、圆棒榫与饼干榫。”基础涂装”覆盖表面处理、着色、漂白、填孔，直至法式抛光、油饰、蜡饰与涂清漆等传统与现代工艺。

书中段安排五个循序渐进的入门项目（p.225–256）：小边桌、壁挂柜、柜子设计、直背椅与自制工作台，均附完整下料单与分步图示。后半部分进入进阶内容：锁具五金、木材弯曲成形、车旋、拉花、边部处理、木皮镶嵌与拼花、木雕（浮雕、圆雕、刻字），以及点绘、仿木纹、做旧、鎏金等高级涂装效果；进阶项目包括书桌、抽屉柜、扶手椅、户外游戏屋、车旋小勺、儿童房家具、椭圆盒等。最后两章分别讲授家具修复（实木修复、脱漆、填补、桌椅拆解、抽屉与面板修复、木皮修复）与”纠错指南”（划线、锯切、刨削、铣削、接合、车削、组装、五金安装、镶嵌、涂装各环节常见失误的补救），为木工爱好者提供从入门到精通的完整参考。
