《装修木工施工手册》是英国 Butterworth-Heinemann 出版的现场木工操作手册，作者 Les Goring 是英国特许建造学会准会士（FIOC），长期在哈斯廷斯艺术与技术学院担任木工专业高级讲师。本书为第三版，ISBN 978-1-85617-768-9。
作者写这本书，是因为市面上的木工书籍大多偏重技术理论与宽泛的知识点覆盖，缺少一本强实践偏向、用 DIY 分步法把工序讲透的书。本书因此以现场操作的顺序与技术要领为主线，呈现木工行当当前的两项专门手艺：第一阶段木工（抹灰前） 与 第二阶段木工（抹灰后）。前者指引抹灰之前必须完成的工作，例如屋面与楼板搁栅的安装；后者指引抹灰之后的工作，例如装踢脚线、门套线与挂门。这条”抹灰前后”的分界线贯穿全书，也是本书区别于通论式木工教材的核心结构。
作者还澄清了 carpentry 与 joinery 的边界：楼梯与木窗这类构件在行业上归入木作（joinery），应由工坊或工厂制造，视为一项独立专业。多数木工两者皆做，也有一部分人专精其中之一。书中内容按现场流程依次展开——识读施工图纸、工具的保养与正确使用、木工紧固件、自制工具箱与现场用具、门框与门组件、木窗与 uPVC 窗、楼板搁栅与地板、室内外木衬条、楼梯与栏杆、楼梯规范、传统与现代屋面、木骨架隔墙、拱形几何与拱胎、门套线与挂门、锁具与门用五金、管槽与风管、整体厨房、场地找平与放线，直到传统手锯研磨，收尾附术语表与索引。
本书主要写给木工学徒、培训生与建筑系学生，也供知识有短板的在职木工用来查漏补缺；对职业学校的讲师而言，可作为教学参考。对于热心的 DIY 爱好者，逐序细致的工序讲解同样合宜——不必有师徒在场，也能照着一步步做下来。
